Dr. Jeffrey P. Johnson is the director of Johnson Medical Center located in Venice Florida. He has over 25 years of specialized experience in neuromusculoskeletal conditions, sports medicine, physiotherapy, and Chiropractic manipulation.
His practice is focused on treating patients who are not responding with conventional treatments including physical therapy, steroidal injections, pain management, and surgery. For those patients he utilizes a noninvasive procedure called Sedative Stretching (or MUA).
Sedative Stretching is a procedure where a patient is lightly sedated to achieve total relaxation, then stretching movements, which would normally be too painful to even consider, are easily and painlessly accomplished while correcting the cause of the patient's pain or condition. Sedative Stretching, combined with consistent, but simple post-procedure treatment and exercise, can eliminate or greatly reduce pain and improve range of motion and flexibility. Plus, Sedative Stretching procedures are extremely cost-effective… a fraction of the cost of traditional surgery and other more invasive treatment. In addition, recovery is much faster, allowing Sedative Stretching patients to get back to work and the pleasure of living and doing their normal daily activities much sooner than expected.
Sedative Stretching is successful in treating back and neck pain, fibromyalgia, degenerative disc disease, migraines, shoulder pain, sciatica, herniated and protruded disc, scar tissue buildup, and many other neuromusculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Johnson is a graduate of Life University, Marietta, Ga, with additional training through National College of Chiropractic, Chicago, in manipulation under anesthesia (MUA), proprietary substances, and chiropractic adjunctive physiotherapy. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, Tampa. Dr. Johnson holds certification from the National Academy of Manipulation Under Anesthesia Physicians and a member of the American Chiropractic Association, the Florida Chiropractic Association and other professional organizations. He is also a past president of the Venice-Nokomis Rotary Club and active in many other local organizations.
