The Center of Surgical Excellence is owned and managed by local physicians nationally recognized in a variety of specialties with admitting privileges in neighboring hospitals.

Two Venice physicians, Tariq and Jaffer Khan realized their vision with the opening of the Center of Surgical Excellence in 2007. Both brothers are Board Certified Gastroenterologists.
The Center also known as an Ambulatory Surgical Center offers outpatient gastroenterology procedures, endoscopies and colonoscopies currently done in a hospital. Other procedures such as pain management and manipulation under sedation are performed by other physicians.
The Surgery Center is a Medicare approved Surgical facility with state-of-art equipment, two fully equipped operating rooms, two endoscopy suites, and pre-op and post-op recovery suites.
